It has been a long day of shopping and Candle is ready to relax and enjoy trying on her new shoes! Just when she is getting comfy, a strange noise is heard. Begrudgingly, she gets up to investigate it although all she wants to do is sit down and pay homage to the almighty new shoes. Girls have their priorities.
Slowly, she gets closer and closer to the attic and is a combination of scared and curious. Surely it is a squirrel or something innocuous like that. As she climbs the rickety attic stairs, she realizes that she has not been in the attic for a long time. It is home to cobwebs and old Christmas ornaments.
When she gets up there, it looks in good order although a bit dark and dusty. She cannot see in all the corners, but convinces herself that there is nothing to fear. All of a sudden she gets spooked and instinct forces her to run. Unfortunately for her, the floorboards are old and rickety and she tumbles down like the stock crash of 1987. Her torso is in the attic and her legs are dangling below.
Candle struggles to get free by kicking her legs and trying to pull herself up, but to no avail. She is completely stuck! More of that odd sound starts emanating from a corner and it gets closer and closer. All of a sudden she realizes that in her attic is a real life breathing monster. She thinks this must be a prank or some sort of joke and tries to maintain her cool, but this is the real deal. When she realizes that he means harm, she lets out a blood curdling scream because the least she can do is harm its ear drums before he tries any nefarious activities.
The monster gets closer and closer and investigates his new prey. He sniffs at her and Candle secretly hopes that he is a friendly monster that wants to play chess. No such luck. He starts nibbling on her like an upscale tapas bar and once his palate is whetted he digs in like she is a sloppy Bbq plate at a roadside diner. Her clothing has too much fiber, so he ends up spitting that out, but he thoroughly enjoyed her tender meat.
