Paige Erin Turner loses her shoe to a shoe monster. The monster likes stinky shoes and steals them when you are not looking. Paige walks wearing only one shoe as she looks.

Paige’s car broke down. She saw a warehouse with the lights on so she figured she would ask to use their phone. When she tried the door it was unlocked. So she let herself in and called out for help. No one answered so she went in further. She walked around looking for a phone or someone to help.

While she didn’t notice a had tried to grab her foot. It missed and she walked off. This happened a second time and still she didn’t notice. But she was starting to feel strange. Like something was watching her.

As she was walking she came across a jail cell. Why would there be a jail cell in a warehouse? If she didn’t find a phone soon she was out of there. That is when she noticed something in her shoe. She took off her shoe and shook it. As if to get the dirt out of it. Then she smells something that stinks. So she sniffs her shoe. Oh my that is disgusting. That is her shoe that stinks. Paige sets it on the floor beside her and wipes off her foot.

As she is cleaning her sock a monster’s hand slowly grabs her shoe. Paige did not notice it taking her shoe. But when she goes to grab her shoe it is gone. She looks all over for it but can not find it. Paige starts to look for her shoe. Walking with one shoe and one clean white sock. Paige worries about getting her white sock dirty. She walks awkwardly with one shoe. Sometimes hopping to prevent getting a dirty sock. Or to stop her sock from getting even dirtier.

Finally she sees her shoe inside the jail cell. It is just out of reach. Paige tries to reach through the bars with her hand but it is too far away. So she decides to try putting her leg through the bars to reach her shoe. As soon as she grabs her shoe with her foot her leg gets stuck between the bars.

Paige struggles to get her leg free. After some struggling she does get her leg free and gets her shoe. She picks it up and notices it is wet. That’s strange. She smells it and it still stinks. Paige makes a face and puts her shoe on anyway. Now that she has her shoe back she goes towards the door.
